As the captive reinsurer for the SanlamAllianz group, the largest insurance group in Africa, we understand how to leverage capacity across various territories and ensure conformity of reinsurance programmes for multiple entities, each with their own unique profile, but a common end-goal.
With offices in Mauritius and Togo, SanlamAllianz Re provides Treaty and Facultative support for Life and non-Life reinsurance requirements in all countries in Africa where the group is represented.
Using our network of group affiliates, we provide full reinsurance support in 27 countries across the African Continent. In countries where the group is not directly represented, we support other cedents on a facultative basis.
With our flexible approach and ability to structure tailor-made solutions in respect of our product offerings, SanlamAllianz Re is perfectly positioned to maximise the significant reinsurance capacity we are able to offer.
Our team has vast experience in dealing with all major lines of business:
- Property,
- Engineering,
- Marine
- General and Professional Liabilities
- Specialty Risks
With our extensive network of Group subsidiaries as well as carefully selected partners in countries where we do not have a physical presence, we are ideally placed to drive and facilitate placements in-country across the African continent.
Policies are issued locally, under the auspices of our Pan-African team, maintaining consistency across each programme and ensuring conformity to local insurance regulations, including prescribed taxes, legal cessions and regional compliance.
We currently administer billions of Dollars’ worth of assets for the international and Pan African programmes of a number of multi-national powerhouses involved in mining, food and beverage, property developing and international hospitality.
